Aside from feeling good about the benefits to your health (see here) and the environment (see here), we wanted to create products that are a joy to use and promote a sense of wellbeing. When it comes to cleaning, it’s important to prioritise products and accessories that you enjoy using. It makes a difference if you enjoy the things you use on a regular basis.
We are all increasingly aware of the number of synthetic chemicals in our lives today; inhaled from the cleaning products, paint and beauty products we use, which is why we have chosen to use 100% pure essential oils in our products.
On average, a single essential oil contains 100 chemical components as well as a number of smaller, trace compounds that cannot be identified or replicated in a laboratory. It’s these mysterious compounds that are so important for our cleaning products; it means our blends act on more than one level, so their properties are not only antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal, but they also act on a physiological and psychological level.
We have created synergistic blends that correspond to the desired different physiological and psychological effects we want to create. Here we give a quick overview of our three signature blends and their mood-enhancing qualities:
Energising Citrus - AKA The fun & lively one
Contains a blend of sweet orange & grapefruit peels and niaouli leaves, known for their cheerful aromas and mood-enhancing properties.
Balancing Floral - AKA The positive & comforting one
Contains a blend of rose geranium, lemon peel and vetiver roots, known for their comforting & balancing properties.
Grounding Vetiver - AKA The calming & confident one
Contains a unique blend of sweet orange, coriander seed and vetiver, known for their calming & grounding effects.
Aside from their lovely scents and mood-boosting effects, we carefully select our essential oils for their widely-known antimicrobial qualities. Some pure essential oils are so potent that they can destroy certain microbes (bacteria, fungus and viruses) with the compounds they contain.
In our blends, we use 100% pure, plant-derived essential oils to create the highest quality, sustainable product. It’s impossible to synthetically recreate a pure essential oil due to their 100’s of different chemical components, however some ‘essential oils’ are mixed using a combination of natural oils and synthetics, which doesn’t always result in the best quality, nor is it always sustainable.
