Back to Travel: COVID 19 Travel Kit Essentials
As we head into a summer of UK staycations with international travel not too far away, we are all looking forward to holiday getaways. With a few changes to how we now travel, it can seem overwhelming taking a post-COVID trip, but your Purdy & Figg team have you covered! Set your mind at ease while dreaming of your next adventure by stocking up on these essentials.
No surprise here...our first and favourite travel essential has to be the trusty hand sanitiser. Airports and train stations are packed with people, making it difficult to avoid bacteria and viruses on all sorts of surfaces and sanitiser with an alcohol content of over 60% can kill any germs from your hands from the moment you put it on.
Considering that 80% of bacteria is transmitted from hands, it is vital to ensure you keep your hands clean, safe and protected whilst travelling.
Purdy & Figg sanitisers are perfect to carry whilst travelling. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes meaning that you can have your favourite sanitiser on hand at all times. Our 20ml bottle can fit anywhere, including your pocket and offers upto 150 sprays in a bottle! Our original 50ml bottle is perfect for travelling too, and can fit into handbags.
Masks are essential when travelling and should be worn at all times, when moving round the station, airport, in the air or on the train. Although they often can be a little annoying, they are so essential in keeping both you and others around you safe.
How about trying to be more sustainable and buy yourself a reusable face mask that can be washed. There's a huge environmental impact from abandoned face masks, with an estimated 53 million masks ending up in landfill everyday in the UK. Single use face masks have become yet another waste product having an irreversible impact on the environment.
Remember to bring an extra clean mask, especially on big journeys or when one needs to be washed. This helps prevent your mask from being contaminated over time.
When travelling, it is impossible to travel without touching surfaces, door handles and many many more objects in public places. Travel with disinfectant wipes so you are able to not only keep your hands clean, but the objects around you clean too. This not only keeps you safe, but everyone else safer too.
They are also perfect to use when sitting on planes or trains when cleaning your tray tables and arm rests.
Keep an eye on your temperature. One of the most common symptoms of COVID 19 is a high temperature and persistent cough. By travelling with a thermometer, you can make sure you are not at risk of spreading Coronavirus.
Some destinations may require you to present a negative COVID test and will ask you to monitor your symptoms. By carrying a thermometer, you can ensure you are regularly checking your temperature ensuring you are not at risk to yourself or others.
