The best natural sanitiser products
Purdy and Figg sanitisers kill 99.99 per cent of bacteria and are made from all-natural and sustainable ingredients. When creating the product, Purdy & Charlotte felt it was important to ensure no toxic or harsh chemicals were used on the skin, and therefore chose to use ingredients such as vegetable glycerin, witch hazel, 100% pure essential oils and of course the key ingredient, alcohol.
Vegetable Glycerin
Vegetable glycerin, derived from vegetable fats, offers a wealth of health benefits especially when it comes to your skin. It is known for its ability to smooth and moisturise the skin, offering up many healing properties. In particular, it is very hydrating and is a gentle cleansing and oil regulating ingredient making it a very successful product when reducing skin problems such as acne and blackheads.
It is especially effective when dealing with sensitive skin as it is a natural moisturiser that hydrates your skin by pulling in moisture from your surroundings.
Purdy and Charlotte fell in love with its moisturising and soothing properties, and as such a natural ingredient, they felt it would suit perfectly in their hand sanitiser. (Adding a more unique element as moisturising unlike dehydrating sanitising gels)
Witch Hazel
Witch hazel is a plant with powerful medicinal properties that can be used in multiple ways, however is most often used in skincare.
It is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties and its ability to reduce skin irritations, shrink pores and soothe your skin.
As it contains several compounds with potent anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties, Purdy and Charlotte believed witch hazel would be a perfect natural ingredient that adds a touch of luxury to their sanitiser.
70% Alcohol
Alcohol has been used as a disinfectant for centuries, and is a reliable product when it comes to sterilizing and killing germs. We all know that the most important product in sanitiser has to be the alcohol content.
Alcohol kills bacteria and viruses through a simple chemical process, where the alcohol molecules break down the bacteria. It is recommended to use a hand sanitiser that is 60% alcohol content or above.
Our sanitisers contain 70% alcohol to fight bacteria and viruses.
Essential Oils
Along with their beautiful scents, essential oils also hold a number of properties including anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant and so many more. Each oil contributes to creating an energising and delicate blend.
Purdy and Charlotte had extensive knowledge of essential oils and wanted to create a product that exhibited that. Our sanitisers all contain a number of essential oils that contribute to their beautiful smell and uplifting aroma.
Though alcohol is the number one ingredient when it comes to hand sanitiser, we wanted to use a number of other botanical and natural ingredients to create a unique product.
Witch hazel, vegetable glycerin and essential oils all provide a number of amazing properties that help contribute to creating a distinctive sanitiser that sits alone in the sanitiser market.
