Whichever camp you’re in, here are some of our top tips for reducing your impact as you get together with family and friends this Easter bank holiday!
Reuse your decorations
Don’t worry about getting fresh new decorations each year; reuse what you’ve got in the attic. If you have children, try to avoid buying the dreaded plastic eggs - no one really wants them when you can have the real deal instead! Wooden eggs are another eco-friendly option for your Easter egg hunt that you can reuse year-on-year.
Forage for your centrepiece
Fancy turning your hand to a bit of tablescaping? You’ll be amazed at the beautiful arrangements you can build just using cuttings from your garden. There’s no need to splash out on extravagant centrepieces, just add some naturally dyed eggs to bring the whole thing to life…
Dye your eggs with natural dyes
You can create a whole host of colours just using ingredients in your store cupboard by soaking the eggs in an infused water & vinegar solution. Scent your home with essential oils
When you’re hosting family and friends it’s natural to want your home to smell nice and fresh. Opening the windows to get a lovely fresh breeze through the house will work wonders, but we also love to have a few essential oil diffusers dotted around. Our favourite scents for Easter are Clary Sage, Lemon & Fragonia!
Use multi-purpose products where possible
