We can all agree that cleaning the bathroom isn’t the most glamorous activity on our to-do lists. Nevertheless, it’s a job that must be done and that satisfaction of seeing your sparkling tiles and limescale-free taps can make it all worthwhile! It can sometimes feel like an overwhelming task, especially if you had lots of guests over the festive period, but the good news is that we’ve gathered up a few of our top tips to help you get your bathroom gleaming again for 2023.
1. Declutter
We can’t stress enough the importance of decluttering your space, and the bathroom is no exception! This is the perfect time to empty those overflowing bins, consolidate duplicate bottles and get rid of any empty or expired products that are filling up your cabinet.
2. The Importance of Dry-Dusting
When tackling the bathroom, cleaning smarter not harder is the best way forward. Before you begin cleaning, give everything a quick dust with a dry microfibre cloth. This will prevent any dust clinging to your damp surfaces and help make your cleaning process run much smoother.
3. Tackling the Tub
To prevent a timely scrubbing session, fill the bath with hot water and add a few scoops of washing powder the night before you plan to clean. This will help to remove soap scum and tidemarks with ease. Simply drain the water, give it a quick rinse and your bath will be pristine again.
4. Taps that Shine
Avoid using abrasive cleaners on your taps. Instead, take some slices of lemon and wrap them around the base for 20 minutes. The acidity will help to remove any limescale build-up and give an overall shine to your taps. Finish by wiping with Counter Clean (check out our limited edition winter scent HERE) and a microfibre cloth.

5. Sparkling Shower-Screen
You don’t need to use excessive amounts of toxin-filled products to achieve sparkling shower-screens. Simply give them a quick spray with Bathroom Bliss and wipe with a microfibre cloth. Make a habit of squeegeeing the door and walls after a shower to keep is looking fresh between cleans!
6. Keep Odours at Bay
Drains are the main culprit for a bad smelling bathroom. To eradicate any lingering odours, pour some bicarbonate of soda followed by white vinegar down the plug hole. This combination will help to neutralise any bad smells. You can also add a few drops of Oh! de Loo to your basin for an extra fresh scent and is the perfect quick fix if you have guests coming over.

7. Little & Often
Keep a microfibre cloth & Bathroom Bliss to hand in your bathroom so you can do regular cleaning spot-checks. Make a habit of doing this a few times a week to prevent build-ups that are more difficult to tackle!
