Get a sparkling clean without the elbow grease; Bathroom Bliss launching 22nd October!

Bathroom Bliss features a brand new formula specially designed by our in-house chemist Dr Anna Slastanova to leave bathrooms positively gleaming!

Here, Dr Anna answers some of the common questions we’ve received about our brand new Bathroom Bliss bathroom cleaner.

Q: How does Bathroom Bliss tackle limescale?

The new formula features superior cleaning power against hard water deposits thanks to the inclusion of lactic acid; a safe and sustainable cleaning agent with natural descaling and antimicrobial properties. Lactic Acid helps to break down and actively remove limescale and hard water deposits from surfaces, leaving them shiny and streak-free! Because of the slightly higher acidity levels, we don’t recommend using it on natural stone, wood or porcelain surfaces.

Q: If it’s more acidic, will I need gloves?

No, gloves are not required when cleaning with Bathroom Bliss. We’d recommend avoiding eye and skin contact with the concentrate form, but once diluted there are no health risks. As with all our products, we’ve prioritised natural ingredients that are gentle on skin for Bathroom Bliss. Like Counter Clean, Bathroom Bliss even contains a small amount of Witch Hazel extract, which of course has been used for hundreds of years to soothe skin (rather than harm it!).

Q: Will it leave surfaces streak-free?

Many of us (particularly those who live in hard water areas) know the struggle of maintaining a sparkling bathroom with the dreaded streaks and deposit build-up. In order to combat these problems, we added a specific water-softening agent to Bathroom Bliss that helps to reduce streaking on mirrored and glass surfaces. As always, we recommend regular use to prevent build-ups as prevention is definitely better than cure!

Q: How often do you recommend using Bathroom Bliss?

We’d recommend using Bathroom Bliss at least once a week on things like your shower screen, shower head/hose, bathtub, sink, toilet seat. I would also suggest just a quick spray and wipe on the taps to keep them sparkling clean whenever you notice water deposits forming on them. It’s also a good idea to clean the basin a bit more regularly (the sink is often dirtier/contains more bacteria than a toilet seat!!). I personally like to give my basin and taps a quick spray every morning as the scent helps to wake me up a bit!

Q: Is Bathroom Bliss antibacterial?

There are no specific antibacterial agents, we are only using the action of surfactants (soap molecules) that will remove bacteria/viruses from surfaces (and kill some by destroying their protective outer membrane, just like washing your hands with soap does). We avoid using antimicrobial agents that kill bacteria/viruses by targeting specific biological pathways, as this can lead to development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in our homes.
